Volunteering for HBA committees and events, as requested by the President of the HBAF; 3. Fundraising for the HBAF Law School Scholarship Program; 4. After becoming a licensed attorney, volunteering to take on at least one (1) case in our Hel.LAS pro bono legal clinic; and 5. Committing to participating in the HBA mentorship program.*

    Certain scholarship applicants will be invited to attend a short, in-person interview with the selection committee on the afternoon of Friday, October 23, 2026, at the Chicago offices of Winston Taylor LLP (300 North LaSalle Drive, Suite 4400 | Chicago, IL 60654). All scholarship applicants should therefore ensure that they can be available to attend such in-person interview session prior to submitting their application.
