  • 3. PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT, WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY
     

    The following agreement outlines important information regarding participation in Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures, a weekend experience designed specifically for children ages 6–8 and held at Lotte Hotel Guam.

    Each Weekend Adventure combines hands-on Discovery Labs and engaging Action Labs experiences designed to encourage exploration, creativity, curiosity, movement, problem-solving, teamwork, and fun.

    Rather than focusing on a single activity or sport, each Weekend Adventure offers a variety of experiences that allow children to discover, create, explore, move, play, and take on new challenges throughout the day.

    Activities may take place throughout designated areas of Lotte Hotel Guam, including indoor and outdoor spaces and designated beach areas. Some adventures may include supervised light water play at the beach or shoreline. Swimming, swim instruction, and formal aquatic activities are not part of the Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures program.

    Please read this agreement carefully in its entirety before proceeding.

    1. General Participation & Assumption of Risk
    I acknowledge that participation in Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures involves inherent risks associated with hands-on activities, creative and exploratory experiences, movement-based activities, outdoor and beach environments, light water play, and group participation.

    These risks may include, but are not limited to, falls, collisions, use of equipment and materials, environmental and weather conditions, uneven or slippery surfaces, sand, shoreline and water-related conditions, and other unforeseen hazards.

    I understand that Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures are designed specifically for children ages 6–8 and that each Weekend Adventure includes a combination of both Discovery Labs and Action Labs activities.

    I voluntarily assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with my child's participation in these activities.

    2. Release & Waiver of Liability
    In consideration for my child's participation in Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures, I, on behalf of myself and my child, release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Adventure Labs, its directors, officers, employees, staff, volunteers, contractors, partners, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in program activities, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

    3. Lotte Hotel Guam Facility Use
    Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures is an independent program held at Lotte Hotel Guam.

    I acknowledge and understand that:

    Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures is independently organized and operated by Adventure Labs.
    Lotte Hotel Guam provides the location and designated areas used for program activities.
    Adventure Labs is responsible for program planning, staffing, supervision, and management of Adventure Labs activities.
    Program activities may take place in designated indoor, outdoor, recreational, and beach areas at Lotte Hotel Guam.
    I further agree, on behalf of myself and my child, to release, waive, and hold harmless Lotte Hotel Guam, its owners, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from or related to participation in Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

    4. Discovery Labs & Action Labs Activities
    I understand that each Adventure Labs Weekend Adventure includes a combination of both Discovery Labs and Action Labs experiences.

    Discovery Labs may include hands-on exploration, creative projects, building activities, experiments, problem-solving challenges, imaginative activities, and collaborative experiences using age-appropriate materials and tools.

    Action Labs focus on movement, play, exploration, teamwork, and active challenges. Activities may include cooperative games, obstacle and movement challenges, outdoor adventures, scavenger-style activities, recreational play, and other age-appropriate experiences designed to keep children active and engaged.

    I acknowledge that participation in these activities may involve inherent risks, including falls, collisions, contact with other participants, and injuries related to the use of age-appropriate equipment or materials.

    I agree that my child will follow all safety rules, instructions, and directions provided by Adventure Labs staff.

    5. Beach Activities & Light Water Play
    I understand that some Weekend Adventures may include supervised activities at designated beach areas at Lotte Hotel Guam.

    These activities may include beach exploration, sand-based activities, cooperative games, shoreline play, and light water play in shallow areas near the shoreline.

    I understand that Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures does not include swimming, swim instruction, or formal aquatic programming.

    I acknowledge that beach and shoreline activities may involve inherent risks, including slippery or uneven surfaces, waves, changing environmental conditions, falls, and other water-related hazards.

    I understand that my child must remain within designated activity areas and follow all staff instructions and safety procedures at all times.

    6. Medical Authorization & Emergency Care
    I certify that my child is physically able to participate in Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures, except as otherwise disclosed during registration.

    In the event of illness or injury, I authorize Adventure Labs staff to provide or arrange for basic first aid, seek emergency medical care, and arrange transportation to an appropriate medical facility if necessary.

    I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical treatment provided to my child.

    7. Behavioral Expectations & Dismissal Policy
    I understand that my child is expected to follow staff instructions, participate safely and respectfully, treat others appropriately, and use equipment and materials as instructed.

    Unsafe, disruptive, or repeated non-compliant behavior may result in removal from a specific activity or dismissal from the Weekend Adventure without refund.

    8. Participant Supervision & Movement
    I understand that children may participate in activities in multiple designated areas throughout Lotte Hotel Guam, including indoor spaces, outdoor areas, and designated beach areas.

    Adventure Labs staff will provide supervision and direction during scheduled activities and transitions between designated program areas.

    9. Personal Property Disclaimer
    I understand that Adventure Labs is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property brought to Weekend Adventures.

    10. Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment
    I certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child being registered and that I have the legal authority to provide consent on their behalf.

    By submitting this registration and acknowledging this agreement, I confirm that I have read and understand the information provided above and consent to my child's participation in Adventure Labs Weekend Adventures at Lotte Hotel Guam.
