What you are asking for
Three kinds of request exist and two of them are on this form. A project is a specific thing with a start and an end. A program is one named cost line inside something you run all year. General operating support, meaning money to run the organization, is available only by exception and is not on this form. Where will this money actually be spent? Name the place: a school, a street, a site, a neighborhood. If that place is not inside Roseville, tell us where it is and how Roseville residents are reached by it.

Who it reaches, and what changes
Who will this reach, and roughly how many people? A rough number is fine, and please say where it came from. A small number is not a disadvantage: we would rather fund something that changes a few lives deeply than something that touches many people lightly.

What changes for one person who receives this?
What happens without us
If we could fund only part of this, or none of it, what would actually happen? Tell us plainly. We are trying to understand what our money changes, not test you.
This is the answer that tells us most. "We would buy six instead of twelve" is a good answer. Please do not skip it.
What keeps working afterward
If this breaks or needs servicing, who would pay for that? You do not need to estimate a cost. We are asking whether there is a budget or a person who handles repairs.
If this grant buys supplies: how long does this quantity last, and what happens after that?
If this grant pays for staff or contractor time: is that position funded after our grant ends, and by whom?
After our money is spent, what if anything keeps running, and who looks after it? "Nothing, this was a one-time cost" is a perfectly good answer.
Other funding
Who else have you asked for money for this project, and has anyone committed? Applying elsewhere never counts against you. We ask so we know whether our grant completes the funding or starts it.
