• Future Association Leader Program

    Application Form

  • Thank you for your interest in the WSAVA Future Association Leader Program. This program has been developed to identify, support, and prepare emerging veterinary association leaders from across WSAVA’s global community. Through a one-year blended learning journey, participants will gain practical skills, confidence, and global perspectives to strengthen their associations and the wider profession.

    Participation in the program is based on a competitive application process. Selection is made according to the published criteria, with the aim of creating a diverse, inclusive, and balanced cohort of future leaders.

    Before you begin, please note that your application cannot be submitted without uploading two mandatory documents:

    1. A letter of nomination or endorsement from your WSAVA Member Association
    2. Your resume/CV

    If you do not have these documents ready, we recommend that you wait and return once you do. In the meantime, you may view all the application questions here, so that you can draft your responses in advance.

    Please confirm:
  • I can commit to the time, travel, and learning requirements of the program. Please keep any pending visa approval front of mind, as visa processing can affect your ability to travel and should be started early.*
  • I understand fees apply and agree to arrange payment personally or through my association. Full payment of the first installment of program fees is due by 28 February 2027, which is before the first module begins in March 2027, and only participants who have completed payment by that date will be confirmed to join the cohort.*
  • I understand that my fees will be calculated according the World Bank Standard Income Classification Report (Report is linked below) for the country within which you are currently residing in.*

  • I understand that travel and accommodation to New Delhi for the in-person workshop during WSAVA Congress 2027 is my own responsibility (travel grants may be available for participants from lower-middle/low-income countries)*

The types of information to include in your response are your demonstrated commitment to the profession and community, evidence of your leadership experience whether formal or informal, your willingness to learn and evolve, your openness to teamwork and collaboration, your commitment to WSAVA's values and mission, any leadership, management, or non-clinical skills development you have participated in, and your potential for broader impact.

    You're also welcome to share anything about your background, perspective, or lived experience that would enrich the cohort, though this last point is entirely optional. We suggest a response length of 300 to 500 words.
