Guest Safety & Farm Rules
Closed-toe shoes are required. For your safety, all guests must wear appropriate closed-toe footwear while participating in any cow or farm experience.
Follow staff instructions. Guests must listen to and follow all Highland Homestead staff instructions at all times. These instructions are in place to protect both guests and our animals.
Animal behavior can be unpredictable. Cows and calves are large, powerful animals and may react unexpectedly. Guests agree to interact with animals only as directed by staff and to maintain a safe distance when instructed.
No unsafe behavior. Guests may not chase, hit, kick, tease, frighten, feed, or otherwise interact with the animals in a manner not approved by staff.
Children. Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children in their care and must ensure they follow all staff instructions and safety rules.
Personal belongings. Guests are responsible for their personal belongings. Highland Homestead is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen items.
Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
I understand that visiting a working farm and interacting with cows, calves, and other farm animals involves inherent risks, including but not limited to falls, slips, animal bites, kicks, bumps, scratches, being stepped on, unexpected animal movement, allergic reactions, and other injuries or property damage.
I voluntarily choose to participate in Highland Homestead activities and accept responsibility for the risks associated with participation. I agree to follow all posted rules and verbal instructions provided by Highland Homestead staff.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and hold harmless Highland Homestead, its owners, operators, employees, agents, volunteers, and representatives from claims arising from my participation, except to the extent caused by conduct that cannot legally be waived.
I understand that I am responsible for informing Highland Homestead staff of any safety concern or condition that may affect my ability to safely participate.
Scheduling, Weather & Refund Policy
Highland Homestead reserves the right to reschedule an experience when circumstances beyond our control make the scheduled experience unsafe or impractical, including severe weather, emergencies, animal-related concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will work with guests to select a new date and time when possible.
No refunds will be issued. Rescheduling will be offered when Highland Homestead cancels or must change an experience due to circumstances beyond our control, subject to availability.
Photo & Video Release
I understand that photographs or video may be taken during Highland Homestead experiences. I grant Highland Homestead permission to use images or video in which I or members of my group may appear for promotional, website, social media, or marketing purposes.

Guest Acknowledgment
By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this Liability Waiver & Guest Agreement, have had an opportunity to ask questions, and agree to follow Highland Homestead's safety rules and staff instructions. I understand that this agreement applies to me and, where applicable, the members of my group for the scheduled experience.
