The following Standing Committees have openings:
The Constitution, Bylaws and Standing Rules Committee shall study the constitution, bylaws and standing rules and any proposed amendments.
The Human and Civil Rights Committee shall promote programs to improve interpersonal relationships
The Legislative Committee shall submit a proposed legislative program.
The Membership Committee shall devise a statewide plan for the promotion of membership.
The Leadership Training Committee shall promote programs for the improvement of instruction in the public schools.
The Educator Rights Committee shall review the procedures for providing legal and administrative assistance.
The following Ad Hoc Committees have openings:
The Education Support Professionals Committee shall create learning opportunities and supports to elevate their professional excellence and build strategic campaigns to advocate for a living wage, fairness, and respect for ESPs
The Y’All Means All Committee shall work to provide educators and students, with safe schools free of anti-LGBTQ+ bias and intolerance.
The Special Education Committee shall focus on improving policies, resources, and instruction for students with exceptionalities and supporting special education professionals.
The South Carolina Early and Noble Educators (SCENE) shall focus on supporting, engaging and advocating for educators with less than 10 years of experience..
