• Minimum 3 matches per team per day, both days — every team plays the same number of games regardless of Day 1 results
• Awards presentation follows the finals on Sunday
• Matches are live streamed so family at home can follow along
VENUE (U18 GIRLS)
Grupo Desportivo de Direito (GD Direito), Monsanto, Lisbon
U18 Boys and Girls play here; the U14 and U16 divisions play at Agronomia Rugby Club nearby. Transfers run between the hotel and both venues. Both grounds are top-tier Portuguese rugby facilities — changing rooms beside the pitches, restaurants and food trucks on site, spectator capacity for 8,000+.
SIX-DAY TOUR PROGRAMME
Day 1 — Friday 12 February
Teams arrive, met at the airport by a bilingual tour representative who stays with the group for the whole tour. SL Benfica Stadium tour with lunch at a local restaurant. Hotel check-in. Training session at a local rugby club. Dinner and overnight at the official hotel.
Day 2 — Saturday 13 February
Breakfast. TOURNAMENT DAY 1 — pool stages, minimum 3 games. Lunch provided at the tournament venue. Return transfer to the hotel after matches. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 — Sunday 14 February
Breakfast. TOURNAMENT DAY 2 — FINALS, minimum 3 games regardless of Saturday's results. Lunch provided at the venue. Tournament awards after the finals. Return transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 — Monday 15 February
Breakfast. Surf clinic at a local beach with lunch at a local restaurant. Free afternoon to explore and rest. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 — Tuesday 16 February
Breakfast. Panoramic city tour of Lisbon with lunch at a local restaurant. Extra day of rugby against local opposition. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 — Wednesday 17 February
Breakfast. Teams depart for the return home.

THE FIELD
The 2026 edition drew 100 teams from 18 countries. Entries come from schools, clubs and academies across the UK, USA, Canada, South Africa, Dubai, Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, New Zealand and Portugal. Past participants include Millfield School, Harrow School, Merchiston Castle, JESS Dubai, Atlantis Rugby (USA), Biarritz Olympique, ASM Clermont Auvergne, SL Benfica and the Ukraine 7s National Team.
GOOD TO KNOW FOR FAMILIES
• International travel — valid passports required; check expiry dates well ahead of February 2027.
• Lisbon in February is mild and coastal. Pack layers and rain gear for pitchside.
• Venues sit in the Monsanto park area, close to central Lisbon.
• The tournament sells out quickly; entry is by team registration through the website.
