The Archimedes Online Challenge (Qualifying Stage)

Online Start Times by Key Stage
Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6): Starts 9:30am sharp
Key Stage 3 (Years 7–9): Starts 10:30am sharp
Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11): Starts 11:30am sharp
Key Stage 5 (Years 12–13): Starts 11:30am sharp
Format
- This Challenge is conducted fully online. Students may participate from home or any suitable environment using a laptop, tablet or desktop computer with a stable internet connection.
- Paper: 25 multiple-choice problem-solving questions
- Duration: 55 minutes
Recognition
All participants will receive a Distinguished Archimedes e-Certificate, awarded at one of the following levels:
- Distinction
- Merit
- Participation
Progression to Final Stage
High-achieving students will be invited to advance to the UK Schools National Final Competition 2026/27.
