    Windows Of Light:  a vibrant collection of memoir, essays, poetry, fiction, and family histories from the writers of Nikkei Write Now , a community dedicated to preserving and sharing Nikkei stories. Nikkei, translated from Japanese, means "of Japanese lineage."

    Elaine Koyama is a Japanese American author with deep roots in her heritage and a long, dynamic career. Born and raised on a farm in eastern Montana as the youngest of eight siblings, Koyama is a third-generation (Sansei) Japanese American. She went on to graduate from Stanford University and spent 20 years working for Cargill, a global agribusiness giant, before transitioning to a 20-year career as an entrepreneur. Now, in the third phase of her professional life, Koyama focuses on writing, speaking, and facilitating discussions about topics close to her heart.
