  • Joining an archery club in the UK involves two stages.

    Stage 1:

    Every new archer must become a member of Archery GB, the sport’s national governing body.

    Stage 2:

    Apply to join your chosen club

     

    Stage 1: Archery GB 

    This membership provides essential benefits including comprehensive insurance, access to competitions, coaching pathways, progression records, badges and awards, and a wide range of partner discounts.

    Membership fees also support the development of archery across the UK—funding safeguarding, coaching programmes, youth pathways, club support, national competitions, performance squads, and wider sport development initiatives.

    The membership fee is comprised of three elements, Archery GB (the national body) East Midlands Archery Society (EMAS) (regional) and the Nottingham Archery Society (NAS) (county)

    We recommend that you visit Archery GB  and Join as soon as possible to ensure that your membership application can be administered as quickly as possible and to get you shooting.

    When signing up to Archery GB, ensure the following:

    • When presented with a County, select Notts Archery Society
    • When presented with the club choice, select 971 Wilford Bowmen (Notts) (Nottinghamshire)  
    • check that "Auto renewal" is not selected

  • Archery is a gender affected sport of a competitive nature where the physical strength, stamina or physique of average persons of one sex could put them at a disadvantage. As such, should you wish to take part in competitions (Club, County or National) there is a requirement for you to provide this information.

    Once your application has been recieved and agreed by the committee, you will recieve a welcome email whihc includes details to our booking systema and Whatsapp community..

    You can make arrangements for the cash/cheque to be handed to a committee member once you make your first booking.

  • Your details will not be given to any other third parties unless you give explicit permission to Archery GB for them to do so via their membership portal (details of which you will receive directly from them).

    In submitting this membership proposal form you consent to the Wilford Bowmen sharing this personal data. You will recieve a link to form in your confirmation of joining email.

  • Please note: The club collects annual fees from based upon your anniversay date. 

    All nominations to join the club must be agreed by the committee.

    Your application to join the club will be considered by the committee meeting upon confirmation that you have Joined Archery GB.

    In the unlikely event that your membership is not approved, any Wilford Bowmen fees paid bu you will be returned to you.

  • All juniors (under 18s) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/responsible adult at all times whilst at the field, unless specifically agreed by the committee following a suitable period of membership. 

    We will rertain your personal data for a period of three years after your last membership subscription has ceased.

    By submitting this membership proposal form, you agree to abide by the club rules, constitution and any decisions and instructions of the committee, coaches and field captains (parent to sign if under 18).
