Beneath the Surface: Navigating Midlife Irritability
  • Have you noticed a shift in your stress threshold lately? If everyday friction points are causing unexpected frustration or exhaustion, you are not alone.

During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal shiftsโ€”including changes in estrogen and progesteroneโ€”influence neurochemistry and nervous system regulation. These physiological changes can lower stress tolerance, making irritability a common experience in midlife. Rather than viewing irritability as a personal failing, psychological research suggests it can function as an important signal regarding boundaries, stress levels, and unmet needs.

Join us for an educational 90-minute online workshop designed to examine the physiological and psychological aspects of midlife irritability. Together, we will review the neurobiology of hormonal transitions, practice somatic regulation techniques to manage stress in real time, and use reflective exercises to better understand our emotional responses.

Connect with a community of women navigating similar transitions, and gain practical, evidence-informed strategies to support self-regulation and well-being.
