    REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT: $475

     


    The renter agrees to abide by all rules and regulations established for the use of the Goppert Community Center building and grounds.

     


    RENTAL & CLEAN-UP REQUIREMENTS

     


    • Renter is responsible for cleanup after the event, including removing all trash, sweeping/mopping floors, cleaning the kitchen and restrooms, and returning chairs and tables to their original locations.

     


    • The rental day is from 8:00 AM on the rental date until 1:00 AM the following day.


    • All music and party activities must cease by 1:00 AM.


    • Failure to return the key by 9:00 AM the day following the rental will result in a $50 deduction from the deposit. 

  • DECORATIONS & FACILITY RULES

    • Decorations may only be hung from the upper white painted trim board.

    • Nothing may be attached to the walls, ceiling tiles, ceiling supports, blinds, curtains, or floors. Do not use tape on the walls, ceiling, or floor.

    • Office, storage, and other non-rented areas are not authorized for use. Renters and guests may use the community room, kitchen, restrooms, and front closets.

    ALCOHOL & SMOKING

    • Intoxicating beverages may NOT be sold on the premises.

    • Alcohol is not allowed in the building or on the grounds during activities open to the public. Alcohol may be used during private parties but may NOT be sold.

    • The facility and Community Center grounds are NO SMOKING. The renter is responsible for informing guests and enforcing this policy.

  • CANCELLATIONS, DAMAGES & RESPONSIBILITY

    • Cancellations made 61–90 days before the rental will receive a 2/3 refund of the rental fee.

    • Cancellations made 31–60 days before the rental will receive a 1/3 refund of the rental fee.

    • Cancellations made 30 days or less before the rental will receive NO refund.

    • The renter is responsible for any damage to the building or equipment resulting from the rental and is responsible for repair or replacement costs that exceed the $475 deposit.

    • The renter is responsible for cleanup and/or damage caused by caterers or other vendors used during the event.

    • Non-compliance with the provisions of this agreement may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • LIMITATION OF LIABILITY; INDEMNIFICATION

    The Goppert Community Center and/or the Norborne Lion’s Club shall not be liable to the Renter or any of the Renter’s family, visitors or patrons for any damage to person or property caused by any action, omission or negligence of The Goppert Community Center, the Norborne Lion’s Club, the Renter or any other visitor in the community building during the rental time of this agreement.

    Further, the Renter(s) agree to hold The Goppert Community Center and the Norborne Lion’s Club harmless from any claim, obligation, liability, loss, damage or expense, including without limitation attorney’s fees and court costs, arising from any condition or natural feature — known or unknown — affecting the premises.
