                                                Attention future chefs! Are you ready to mix, mask and munch your way to delicious fun? In this class, we are going to whip up tasty treats, meet new friends, read a story and create a cookbook...all while having fun together!


                                                NOTE: For safety reasons we will not be using peanut/nut products, however, I cannot guarantee that all food items come from a peanut/nut free facility.

                                                Fun Friday on a Tuesday - Mrs. Burke

                                                Come play with friends after school!! We will learn to play all sorts of games together! Weather & space permitting, we can play gaga and kickball. We will play old school games like musical chairs, hot potato, and freeze tag. Students can also choose to play board games such as Uno Dare, Sorry, or Clue, strategy games such as chess, Blokus, and Qwirkle, and fun guessing games such as Charades, Headbands, and Pictionary. Have fun while practicing skills like cooperation and good sportsmanship!

Together, we will work through the writing process to write, revise/edit, and publish articles on a variety of topics, such as school news, local events, creative writing, opinion writing, and more. The possibilities are endless! You will get a published copy to bring home to share with your family, and it will also be shared with all CAS students. If you enjoy writing, then Tiger Press is for you!

                                                California Kickball - Mr. Cyrana, Mrs. Jackson, Mrs. Moszczynski

                                                Many of you already play kickball during recess, but how about an extreme version of kickball? Want to get some extra practice to prepare for the fourth and fifth grade tournament? California Kickball takes our normal kickball rules and spins them. 3 people on first base? It is completely possible with California Kickball! See what other rules we can change in this fast paced game. Come prepared to run around! If we can’t play on Wednesday, we will use Friday afternoons as make ups! A minimum of 18 students will be required to make this activity a success, so tell your friends!

                                                Clay Creatures: Sea Turtles Edition - Ms. Obermaier

                                                Dive into the world of sea turtles! In this hands-on art class, students will sculpt their very own sea turtle from kiln-fired clay and create a colorful ocean habitat for it. Along the way, they’ll learn about where sea turtles live, what they eat, and what they need to survive.

                                                Have your child start the day off on the right foot! Enjoy stretching, breathing and yoga poses all before the school day starts. Mindfulness techniques will be woven in amongst simple yoga, postures. Your child will leave the session feeling invigorated and ready to take on the day.
