The Happy Birthday Program supports families experiencing financial hardship in the Greater Moncton Area by helping make birthdays special for their children. Through the generosity of community sponsors and donors, we provide birthday essentials and thoughtfully selected gifts based on each child’s interests, needs, and preferences.

Every child deserves to feel celebrated.

Please complete this application as accurately as possible. The information you provide will help us assess your family's eligibility. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Applications are reviewed based on eligibility and individual circumstances. Please note that approval does not guarantee birthday support as assistance is dependent on available resources, sponsor availability and program capacity.

Applications should be submitted at least six (6) weeks before the child's or children's birthday(s). Applications submitted less than six weeks before a child's birthday may not be accepted.

Each application is for the upcoming birthday celebration(s) in this application and The Happy Birthday Additional Child Application only. Aproval does not carry over to future birthdays. Families wishing to receive birthday support for a second time in a future year must submit a new application and eligibility will be reassessed at that time.

Your privacy is important to us. Personal and identifying information provided on this application will be kept confidential and will not be shared publicly or with birthday sponsors, donors or other families. Only non-identifying information necessary to coordinate birthday support, such as your child's age, interests, preferences, clothing sizes and requested items, may be shared with a sponsor when applicable. The Happy Birthday program coordinates all sponsorships on behalf of participating families. Sponsors and families will have no direct contact through the sponsorship program.

Your child's name will be kept confidential and will not be shared with birthday sponsors, donors or publicly. Each child will be assigned a unique identification number that will be used when coordinating birthday support.

Birthday Gifts

Birthday Support includes four gifts chosen especially for your child: something they WANT, something they NEED, something to READ and something to WEAR. Please tell us what would be the most meaningful and useful for your child in each category. The information you provide will help guide gift selection. While we cannot guarantee specific brands, items or requests, every effort will be made to choose gifts that reflect your child's interests, needs, preferences and appropriate sizing.
