Parade Rules:
1. All entries must display noticeable identifying information. Walking entries should use a banner, and floats and other entries should have their organization, business or group name prominently displayed on the front and sides of the entry.
2. All entries must adhere to the "No Santas Allowed Policy." Santas are not permitted as part of any parade entry. This policy is intended to prevent confusion with the Grand Finale of the parade when Santa will arrive on a fire engine.
3. All children participating in the parade must be accompanied by an adult. Any vehicle hauling children in the parade must have at least one adult for every four (4) children. NO EXCEPTIONS!
4. All participants will conduct themselves in a safe, respectful, and family-friendly manner.
5. Vehicles and drivers participating in the parade will be properly licensed, insured, and operated safely.
6. Participants will remain with their assigned entry and follow the parade route and instructions provided by parade officials.
7. No items will be thrown from moving vehicles or floats. Handing items to spectators is permitted when done safely.
8. If you have any animals walking in the parade, you must provide clean up behind the animals.
9. I understand that the City of Winchester reserves the right to refuse, modify or remove an entry that does not comply with parade rules or safety requirements.
