📋 Volunteer Guidelines & Expectations:

Orientation: All volunteers must receive a brief orientation prior to their shift to understand emergency protocols and the event flow. You may attend the general group briefing either Friday night (after Maghrib) or Saturday morning (between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM). If you are unable to attend either of these group briefings, you will receive a 1-on-1 briefing when you check in for your shift.

Check-in: On the day of the event, you must sign in at the dedicated Volunteer Check-in Station to receive your assignment and pick up your identifying lanyard.

Timing & Event Flow: Country Participants will begin arriving for setup at 9:00 AM. Doors open to the public at 10:30 AM. The event concludes at 1:00 PM, followed by a cleanup period from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Communications & Advertising (Pre-Event): Helping with social media, email/text campaigns, and distributing flyers in the neighborhood.
Guest Check-in & Registration: Scanning QR codes, managing entry lines, and handing out wristbands.
Food & Beverages: Overseeing outdoor serving lines, managing drink stations, and refilling food.
Facility & Cleanliness: Clearing trash, managing supplies, and enforcing facility etiquette (no food inside).
Country Participant Support: Assisting country reps with load-in and finding their assigned tables at 9:00 AM.
Security & Parking: Directing traffic, guiding guests to parking, and ensuring venue safety.
Event & Program: Assisting with agenda timing, stage management, and the awards presentation.
Judges & Awards: Serve as an official event judge to evaluate the cultural displays, or assist the judging team with scoring rubrics, and pacing table visits.
Donations & Payments: Assisting at the payment table with Square readers and cash collections for food plates.
Clean Up / Teardown: Assisting from 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM to break down tables and clear the venue.
Floaters / Misc: Put me wherever you need me most!
