Recovery Alive is a 12-step Christian recovery ministry open to anyone struggling with hurts, habits, or hang-ups. Currently, the ministry averages around 145 people in attendance for our weekly Sunday night meetings. R.A. has full church commitment, a 10 year ministry history, and a strong leadership base. This part-time position requires 20 hours weekly.

- Maintain an exemplary Christian witness in your personal conduct and family life.
- Demonstrate a substantial record of sustained sobriety or clean time in your area of struggle.
- Model active church involvement by fully engaging as an EPBC member with your family through the following commitments:
Worship (consistent Sunday worship attendance)
Connect (consistent participation in a Connect Group with your family)
Serve (faithful service through your leadership in the RA ministry)
Share (faithful and consistent giving to the church, regular participation in evangelism, and God-honoring lifestyle choices*)
*God-honoring lifestyle choices: Recovery Alive ministers to people facing addiction and a variety of other struggles. While serving in this role, the director is expected to abstain from all addictive substances, including alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis, and to refrain from vaping. This expectation is intended to model sobriety and show consideration for “weaker brothers and sisters.” (See Romans 14:1-21 and 1 Corinthians 8:1-13.)
Regular Duties:
- Lead the day-to-day R.A. ministry at EPBC.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for R.A. at EPBC.
- Coordinate the Sunday night R.A. program for adults, including teaching, the weekly R.A. liturgy, people groups, and process groups.
- Recruit and train R.A. leaders and volunteers.
- Maintain the materials and supplies needed for the R.A. ministry.
- Organize regular R.A. family outings and gatherings to encourage fellowship.
- Work with the pastoral staff to develop and implement the annual R.A. budget.
- Respond to immediate crisis or counseling needs by phone or in person, involving the designated pastors as needed.
- Coordinate outreach to people in the local community who could benefit from R.A.
- Maintain EPBC R.A.’s Signature Ministry status by communicating regularly with National Recovery Alive, Inc., and meeting its Signature Ministry requirements and expectations.
- Attend the monthly Recovery Alive, Inc. Signature Ministry Collective meetings and, whenever possible, the quarterly Recovery Alive Community Ministries meetings for RA directors.
-Work with the pastoral staff who coordinate various aspects of the RA weekly ministry (Ex: worship, tech, NextGen, food, security, pastoral care, etc.)
