  • YTN Committee Nomination - 2027/28

  • The Young Tourism Network (YTN) is an engaged not-for-profit group for students and young professionals in the Victorian tourism, travel, hospitality and events industry. We’re led by a passionate team of volunteers, and we facilitate connections and collaboration for our members and between students and industry professionals.

    What is the role of the YTN Committee?

    The network is entirely managed and run by the volunteer Committee. Committee members are responsible for all of YTN's activities, ensuring the delivery of the network's activities for the benefit of members. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Providing input to the development of YTN's goals;
    • Defining and helping to achieve the network's role and desired outcomes;
    • Providing advice and collectively making decisions about changes to the network as it develops;
    • Being an advocate for YTN and young people in tourism;
    • Being accountable for the network's success;
    • With the rest of the Committee, delivering all of YTN's activities.

    How often does the YTN Committee meet?

    Meetings happen every two months and are hybrid or mix online and in-person. Dates are set in advance, and meetings usually run from 5.30pm to 7pm.

    In addition to the Committee meetings, there is an average of approximately 2-4 hours per week commitment - this may vary at times, depending on events and activities.
