Commitment to the PG Cert

A key requirement of undertaking the PG Cert in Film and Screen Professional Practice is a commitment to completing all four units and attending the scheduled weekly sessions throughout the academic year, as outlined in the information session.

As a reminder:
- Late September 2026 - January 2027: Monday evenings, 4.30pm to 6.30pm - Screen Education Edinburgh's first module.
- From January 2027 - April 2027: Wednesday evenings, 4.30pm to 6.30pm - Delivery of Edinburgh Napier University's first module.
- From April 2027 - June 2027: Wednesday evenings, Delivery of Edinburgh Napier University's second module, culminating in the filmmaking weekend.
- August 2027 - November 2027: Monday evenings, 4.30pm to 6.30pm - Screen Education Edinburgh's second module. This is 80% classroom practice and contact time is for check in and support, as you implement your module one learning and may coincide with your delivery of the Film and Screen Curriculum as confirmed by your SLT.
There is also a requirement to attend occasional weekend in-person sessions, as outlined during the information session. A travel bursary is available to support attendance at these sessions, with further details provided during induction.
Please confirm that you can commit to attending all required weekly sessions and occasional weekend in-person sessions, and to completing all four units of the PG Cert in Film and Screen Professional Practice.
All teachers undertaking this course are required to obtain Senior Leadership Team (SLT) approval to deliver the Film and Screen curriculum in 2027–28. Please select the statement that best describes your current situation:
