Official Rules
1. Contestants must be at least 5 years old. Anyone under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
2. Individuals and groups may participate. Groups will compete as one entry and share any prize awarded.
3. Performances may include singing, poetry or spoken word, dance, or specialty entertainment.
4. Each performance must be no longer than four minutes.
5. All audition materials, lyrics, music, spoken word, costumes, props, and visual content will be carefully reviewed and must receive advance approval. Performances may celebrate culture, identity, heritage, and the human experience but may not contain hateful, threatening, inflammatory, discriminatory, or demeaning content directed toward any person or group based on religion, ethnicity, race, nationality, or cultural identity. The competition may not be used to promote political hostility or attacks against any country or community.
6. Approved performances may not be materially changed without advance permission from festival organizers.
7. Applicants must submit a short audition video for consideration. Submission does not guarantee selection for the live competition.
8. Selected finalists must be available to perform live during the Taste of Little Palestine Festival on Saturday, October 3.
9. Contestants must submit any music or audio tracks before the event. Performers are responsible for providing their own costumes, instruments, props, and specialty equipment unless other arrangements are approved in advance.
10. Contestants must arrive and check in at their assigned time. Late arrival may result in disqualification.
The judges' decisions are final. Taste of Little Palestine organizers reserve the right to approve or reject any performance and adjust the competition format based on the number and types of entries received.
