  • 2026 - 2027 Weekend Mandarin Class Tuition Policy

  • Effective September 1, 2026

  • 1. Program Commitment
Due to the personalized nature of our program, space is limited, and we encourage families to commit for the full school year. Single-semester enrollment is reserved for students who plan to transition to an after-school program next semester or who are enrolling exclusively for the spring semester.
  • 2. Program & Schedule Changes
    • Tuition is a flat-rate monthly fee for 9 months, from begin September 2026 to end-May 2027.
    • Requests to change program options or schedule times (e.g., switching between Saturday morning/afternoon sessions, or moving from weekend group classes to an after-school program or 1-on-1 lessons) must be submitted in writing by the 15th of the preceding month. If approved, the change will take effect on the first day of the following month. All changes are subject to availability.
  • 3. Registration
3.1 The non-refundable application and materials fee is $100 for full school-year registration or $70 for single-semester registration. Please note that all registration materials must be completed within 5 days of receipt. Due to limited availability and high demand, student placement can only be held for this duration.

    3.2 Tuition Deposit
Please note that a $200 tuition deposit is due upon submission of the registration form and all required enrollment materials to secure your child's placement for the 2026–2027 school year.

  • The tuition deposit will be applied to the final month's tuition (May 2027, or December 2026 for fall semester-only registration) and is non-transferable. It cannot be applied to any other month and is not subject to proration.
  • 3.3 Discount

    • Sibling Enrollment Discount
Receive a 3% tuition discount for the second sibling and a 5% discount for the third and any additional siblings enrolled in Group Classes.
  • 3.4 Tuition Payment options

  • Tuition for the first month of the program is due by September 4, 2026.
  • Select Payment Option
  • Available by credit card with automatic monthly payments only.
    • Billing Cycle: Invoices for the following month are issued by the 2nd of the current month and due by the 15th.
    • Late Fees: $50 charged for unpaid balances after the 15th of the month, or if a card transaction is declined. This fee will be deducted from the tuition deposit.
  • 3.5 Tuition Payment Methods

    • Credit Card: A 2.9% credit card processing fee applies to installment payments. American Express transactions are subject to a 3.4% processing fee.
    • Zelle: hello@jadechinese.us (only for Payments in Full)
  • 4. Group Class Absence Policy and Support Guidelines

  • 4.1 Absence Notification Policy: Written notice of any absence must be received by 12:00 PM on the Friday preceding the scheduled class week (via text at 888-720-1231 or email at hello@jadechinese.us). Advance notice allows teachers to maximize instructional time.

Example: To report an absence for Saturday, September 12, notice must be submitted by 12:00 PM on Friday, September 5.

  • A $10 administrative fee will be charged for no-shows or notifications received after the deadline, which will be deducted from your tuition deposit.

4.2 Group classes follow a fixed schedule. Seats are reserved for a consecutive period, and tuition is offered at a reduced group rate with the teacher's time scheduled accordingly. For this reason, make-up lessons and refunds for absences are not available.

4.3 During the first 15 minutes of each class, we review previously covered material to help students stay on track. If a student misses two consecutive class sessions, we recommend scheduling a private lesson so the student can catch up and the rest of the class can continue learning at the same pace.
  • 5. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • If withdrawal is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, families must provide at least 30 days' written notice prior to the next billing cycle. If proper notice is not provided, the following month's tuition will be charged. If the following month's tuition is not received, it will be deducted from the tuition deposit.

    * Please note that tuition payments already made for the current billing month are non-refundable. There are no refunds or pro-rated tuition if a child is unenrolled in the middle of the calendar month.

    * If prepaid tuition (paid under a multi-month discount) is refunded, the discount will be voided, and a $180 processing fee will be deducted from the tuition deposit.
  • Example 1: Cancellation Request Submitted on February 13
Tuition is billed on the 15th of each month for the following month's enrollment. Per the agreement, families must provide at least 30 days' written notice prior to the next billing date to avoid future tuition charges.
If a cancellation request is submitted on February 13, the 30-day notice requirement prior to the February 15 billing date has not been met. As a result, the March tuition payment will still be charged on February 15.
  • Example 2: Cancellation Request Submitted on February 20
If the February 15 tuition payment (covering March enrollment) has already been processed and a written notice is submitted on February 20, the 30-day notice period begins February 20.
Because notice was not provided at least 30 days prior to March 15 billing date, the April tuition payment will still be charged on March 15.

  • Example 3: Cancellation Request Submitted on February 15th
If the February 15 tuition payment (covering March enrollment) has already been processed and written notice is submitted on February 15, the 30-day notice requirement has been satisfied prior to the March 15 billing date. As a result, the student will avoid being charged April tuition on March 15.
