Selection Process
The selection committee consists of representatives from the property owner, the City of Pittsburg, and the 150th Anniversary Planning Committee.
Submissions will be evaluated on artistic creativity, alignment with the project theme, suitability for the installation site, overall aesthetic merit, appeal to a diverse audience of all ages, and the demonstrated quality of the artist's previous work and experience.
Finalists may be invited to participate in an interview or presentation at the discretion of the selection committee.
The selection committee may request reasonable revisions to the proposed concept before final approval.
Rules and Terms to Apply
The selected artist must sign a contractor agreement and complete a W-9. Proof of insurance during the installation timeframe is required. Art containing advertising, logos, or copyrighted images, and political, commercial, religious, or sexual themes will not be considered.
