  • Event Description & Activities

  • The Cold Plunge Event is a half-day outdoor wellness experience held at Outpost 104 Farm in Ashland City, Tennessee, in collaboration with Healed People Heal and Outpost 104 Farm. The event is designed to support nervous system regulation, stress reduction, and community connection through a guided series of therapeutic and somatic activities.

    Activities included in this event:

    Equine interaction and a brief psycho-educational introduction to equine-assisted therapy
    Mindful walking on outdoor terrain, including a creek crossing (approximately 1/2 mile each way)
    Cold water immersion in a spring-fed cold plunge pool — voluntary; participants may opt out at any time without explanation or penalty
    TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) — a gentle, body-based somatic practice using mild leg fatigue and facilitated neurogenic tremoring to support the release of stored tension
    Guided breathwork and mindfulness
    Refreshments including spring water, herbal tea, fruit, and granola bars
    Group closing circle and facilitated reflection

  • Potential Benefits:

    Participation in this event may offer the following benefits, which vary by individual:

    Cold water immersion: improved circulation, reduced inflammation, elevated mood, increased mental clarity, and activation of the body's natural stress-resilience response
    TRE: release of stored muscular tension, nervous system regulation, and a greater sense of calm and groundedness
    Equine interaction: reduced anxiety, increased sense of presence, and emotional grounding through animal connection
    Breathwork and mindfulness: stress reduction, improved emotional regulation, and increased present-moment awareness
    Group experience: a sense of community, shared accomplishment, and the felt experience of being held in a supportive group setting

  • Potential Risks:

    I understand that participation in the activities described above involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

    Cold water immersion risks: cold shock response, hyperventilation, sudden loss of consciousness or incapacitation, cardiac arrest, cardiovascular stress, hypothermia, and slipping or falling near or in the water.

    Physical activity risks: muscle soreness, joint strain, sprains, and falls on uneven or unstable terrain.

    Creek walk risks: slipping on wet or submerged surfaces, falls on uneven creek bed, ankle and foot injury, and exposure to waterborne organisms or bacteria.

    TRE risks: emotional release or emotional distress, temporary dizziness, muscle fatigue, and unexpected psychological or somatic responses including the surfacing of trauma or dissociative experiences.

    Equine interaction risks: unpredictable animal behavior including sudden movement, kicking, or startling, which may result in physical injury.

    Outdoor and environmental risks: sun exposure, extreme or changing weather conditions including lightning, insect exposure, allergic reactions to animals, insects, plants, or environmental elements, and contact with outdoor allergens or irritants such as poison ivy.

    General: and other risks inherent to outdoor therapeutic wellness activities not specifically enumerated above.

  • Voluntary Participation; Right to Withdraw:

    I understand that my participation in all activities is entirely voluntary. I may choose not to participate in any activity, or withdraw from any activity at any time, without penalty or judgment. In particular, cold plunge participation is optional. No one will be required or pressured to enter the cold plunge.

  • Group Confidentiality:

    This event includes group sharing and experiential activities. To protect all participants, I agree to maintain the confidentiality of anything shared by other participants during this event. What is shared in this space stays in this space.

  • Conduct:

    • This is a substance-free event. No alcohol, cannabis, or controlled substances before or during the event.
    • Please silence your phone during guided activities.
    • Photography or video during activities is permitted only with facilitator guidance.
    • Respectful language and behavior toward all participants and facilitators is required at all times.
    • Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal from the event without refund.

    Venue & Property:

    • Park only in designated areas.
    • Stay within the areas designated by your facilitators.
    • Do not explore the property independently.
    • Do not approach, feed, or handle any animals on the property unless explicitly invited by a facilitator.
    • The creek and cold plunge area are used during designated activity times only, and always with facilitator supervision.
    • No smoking anywhere on the property.
    • Plan to arrive no more than 10 minutes before the event start time, and depart within 30 minutes of the event's scheduled close.
    • Leave the space as you found it.
    • Take all personal belongings and trash with you.
  • Release, Waiver & Indemnification

    Please read this document carefully and completely before signing.
  • In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Cold Plunge Event, I, on behalf of myself and my heirs, personal representatives, and assigns, hereby voluntarily: Release and discharge Chadash Counseling and Coaching, LLC, Healed People Heal, Rebecca Horn, Coran Brown, Outpost 104 Farm, and Melissa Riley [Farm Owner], their employees, volunteers, and agents (collectively "the Organizers") from any and all claims, demands, damages, causes of action, or liability arising out of my participation in this event, including claims resulting from negligence. Agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organizers from any claims arising from my participation. Acknowledge that this waiver is intended to be as broad as permitted by law. I understand this is a release of liability and have read it carefully before signing.

    I understand the nature of the activities involved, including their potential benefits and inherent risks.

    I meet all eligibility requirements listed in this form.

    My participation in all activities is entirely voluntary. I may opt out of any activity at any time without penalty or judgment.

    I am not under the influence of any substance that would impair my judgment or my ability to participate safely.

    I am 18 years old or older.

    I confirm that I have no known medical conditions that would prevent my safe participation in this event, or if I have any of the conditions listed (Heart condition or cardiovascular disease, High or low blood pressure, Epilepsy or seizure disorder, Raynaud's disease or cold urticaria, Mental health condition currently in acute phase, other not specified here), I have received explicit clearance from my physician to participate.

    I have not had recent surgery (within the past 6 months).

    I do not have any active infection, open wound, or skin condition. 

    I agree to maintain the confidentiality of anything shared by other participants during this event.

    I agree to follow all rules, restrictions, and policies of retreat venue.

    I agree to follow all rules, restrictions and policies of event organizers.

    Reservation Information — If you reserve a spot in a therapeutic retreat, intensive, group, or workshop, we will collect your:

    The information collected will solely be used for the purpose of responding to inquiries regarding therapy and therapeutic services, and for contact about your reservation for a retreat, intensive, group, or workshop.

    Data Retention

    We will retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and for as long as legally required under records-keeping laws for therapeutic practices and practitioners.

    Third-Party Disclosure

    As a licensed therapeutic entity, Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC and all of its practitioners and employees are bound by HIPAA when dealing in Protected Health Information (PHI). We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties except as required by law or as necessary to respond to your inquiries or manage your reservations.

    Your Rights

    You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction of any inaccuracies, and request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal obligations.

    Terms and Conditions

    By engaging with Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC and/or its employees, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read these carefully.

    1. Service Overview

    Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC offers professional counseling and therapeutic services. Our goal is to provide a supportive environment for individuals seeking mental health assistance.

    2. Client Engagement

    We will only contact you if you take the initiative to reach out to us. This includes inquiries made through our published email address or phone number. You are under no obligation to contact us, and we respect your decision to seek services at your own pace.

    3. Response Time

    Upon receiving your inquiry, we aim to respond within three (3) business days. If you do not receive a response within that timeframe, please feel free to follow up.

    4. Confidentiality

    Your privacy is paramount. Any information shared during inquiries will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be disclosed to third parties without your consent, except as required by law.

    5. Limitations of Services

    Retreats, workshops, and intensives offered by Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC are therapeutic in nature but are not therapy and should not be construed as therapy, nor are they a substitute for individual, couples, or group therapy. These offerings are also not a substitute for medical treatment or emergency services. If you are in crisis or experiencing a medical emergency, please seek immediate assistance from a qualified professional or call emergency services.

    6. Payment

    Payment for services, retreats, intensives, groups, and workshops are due per our agreed terms.

    7. Reservation Confirmation

    Upon successful registration and payment, you will receive electronic confirmation to the email address provided at registration. Please ensure your email address is accurate and check your spam folder if you do not receive confirmation within 24 hours.

    8. Participant Screening & Right to Refusal

    Because our retreats, intensives, groups, and workshops are small and intimate in nature, participants may be required to complete intake questionnaires prior to the event. A reservation does not guarantee a spot. If it is determined that a participant would be more appropriately served in an individual or private setting, they will be contacted by email to discuss next steps and a possible refund. If you have questions about whether a particular event is appropriate for you, please contact Office@chadashcnc.org and allow three (3) business days for a reply.

    9. Amendments

    We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.

    10. Acceptance of Terms

    By initiating contact with Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC and/or its employees, you acknowledge that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

    Cancellation Policy

    The following notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling to allow us to accommodate other clients:

    •  Retreats: 30 days (see Refund Policy below)

    •  Intensives: 48 hours

    •  Groups: 48 hours

    •  Workshops: 72 hours

    Return and Refund Policy

    At Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC, we are committed to providing high-quality therapeutic services and retreats. Due to the nature of our practices, we do not generally offer refunds on services rendered. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise.

    1. General Policy

    All payments for therapy services and retreats are final and non-refundable, as they involve scheduled sessions and preparation that cannot be returned.

    2. Extenuating Circumstances

    Refunds may be considered in cases of extreme medical emergencies or unforeseen events that prevent participation.

    3. Requesting a Refund

    To request a refund, clients must:

    •  Submit a written request detailing the circumstances.

    •  Provide supporting documentation (such as a medical certificate) if applicable.

    4. Refund Determination

    Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis:

    •  More than 30 days prior to the event: potential for a full refund or credit toward future services.

    •  15–30 days prior to the event: partial refunds may be granted, subject to discretion.

    •  Less than 15 days prior to the event: refunds are typically not provided unless extreme circumstances are documented.

    5. Cancellation by Chadash Counseling and Coaching LLC

    If we must cancel a retreat or intensive for any reason, clients will receive a full refund or may choose to transfer payment to a future date.

    6. Communication

    Clients will be informed of refund request outcomes via email or phone within a reasonable timeframe.

    7. Policy Changes

    We may update this policy as necessary. Changes will be communicated with an updated effective date.
