At Confirmation, you will take on a new name to mark that you are changed by the sacrament through the Holy Spirit. This name is a saint's name from a selected saint that you have researched, learned about their life, and feel a connection to. If your name is a saint's name, you may choose to use it as your Confirmation name. At the Confirmation service, the bishop will call you by this name when he annoints you.
