Note on 2027 Committees:
In an effort to create volunteer opportunities that respect our members' very valuable and limited time, several committees are being eliminated and replaced by Task Forces. By creating purpose and outcome-driven task forces with defined end dates, limited meetings, and specific focus tied to the strategic plan, we can confidently say to returning and new volunteers: "We respect your time, talent, and expertise, and our promise is that we will not waste it." Committees being transitioned to task forces at the end of 2026 are Community Involvement Committee (CIC) and Your Professional Network (YPN). Government Affairs Committee (GAC) and Professional Development Committee (PDC) will be evaluated in 2027 to align their work with the Board of Directors' strategic plan priorities, and therefore we will not be accepting applications for those committees this year.
Volunteering with the association is not going away, and we hope that you don't either. We are still evaluating 2027 strategic plan priorities and the task forces needed to complete them, but we want to assure you that there will be many opportunities to share your time, talent and expertise on the issues that matter most to you.
