Fall 2026 Saturday Studio Sessions

Watercolor Painting - Oct. 3 - Saturday Studio

Using metallic watercolor paint on paper, students will explore transparency and color, inspired by the airy watercolor aura paintings of exhibiting artist Juanita Donahoo.

Chalk Painting - Oct. 17 - Saturday Studio

**Class held at the Via Arté Chalk Festival at The Marketplace, 9000 Ming Avenue, Bakersfield, CA 93312**

Guided by a BMoA Educator, students will learn to use chalk pastels while making their own masterpieces on asphalt at BMoA's Via Arté Chalk Festival at The Marketplace. Students will also talk with the festival's featured artist. T-Shirt and chalk included with registration.

Sculpture - Nov. 7 - Saturday Studio

Students will use air-dry clay to build a lantern, inspired by exhibiting artist Felix Quintana's "Fantasma Paraiso."

Inspired by the photography of exhibiting artist Graciela Iturbide, students will explore how light affects objects and figures by using instant cameras to take black-and-white photos.
