Reenact the court trial that saw Ned sent to the gallows at the Former Magistrates Court of Melbourne, dressing up and playing the roles of infamous Judge Redmond Barry, lawyers, police witnesses and Ned himself. Participate in a tour with an expert guide learning of Ned’s last stand at Glenrowan, his time spent at the Gaol and what happened to his body after his death (you might get to try on a suit of armour)! This experience is one not to be missed!

Travel back in time to see how families celebrated Christmas in the 1950s, explore the beautiful house decked to the nines with colourful decorations. Discover Christmas presents from days past, including some incredible toys and games. Create a traditional Christmas decoration to take home. Then, head out to the heritage garden for some old-fashioned games. You might like to bring a picnic to enjoy in the gardens. We encourage visitors to dress up 1950s-style for this fantastic day out!
Roll up your sleeves, pop on some gloves, and let our Dig Director show you how to think and work like an archaeologist! You’ll use archaeological tools to uncover objects at our dig site, discuss what buildings and people may have been there over 150 years ago. While on site explore the historic home on a guided tour to get a glimpse of how people lived in the area in the 1800s. Finish the day with some old-fashioned games in the heritage gardens. Consider bringing a picnic to enjoy in the gardens.
