  • SCJCA Transportation Assistance

    SCJCA may provide complimentary transportation assistance for eligible participants within the City of Compton to help youth consistently participate in our programs. Transportation is based on availability, program location, participant need, route capacity, and scheduling. Completing this section does not guarantee transportation.

  • Liability/Assumption of Risk & Photo/Video/Media Release

    I, the undersigned parent/legal guardian (or participant if 18 years of age or older), understand that participation in Southern California Junior Cricket Academy (SCJCA) programs and activities involves inherent risks of injury. I voluntarily assume all risks and release, waive, and hold harmless Southern California Junior Cricket Academy (SCJCA), the City of Compton, the City of Compton Parks & Recreation Department, {Primary Park}, SCJCA's Board of Directors, coaches, staff, volunteers, sponsors, partners, and affiliates from any liability, claims, damages, or expenses arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. As part of this release, I also authorize SCJCA and its partners to photograph, video record, and use images or recordings of my child (or myself) during program activities for educational, promotional, marketing, social media, website, grant reporting, and other organizational purposes without compensation.

  • Emergency Medical Authorization

    In the event of an accident, injury, or medical emergency during SCJCA programs or activities, I authorize Southern California Junior Cricket Academy (SCJCA) staff, coaches, or designated volunteers to seek and consent to emergency medical treatment for my child, including transport to a medical facility, if I cannot be immediately reached. I understand SCJCA will make every effort to contact me or the emergency contact listed on this form before treatment is administered, except when immediate action is required to protect my child's health and safety. I agree to be financially responsible for any medical costs incurred and release SCJCA from liability for decisions made in good faith during a medical emergency.

  • Program Rules

    SCJCA is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all participants. By registering, participants and families agree to: arrive on time and follow coach instructions; treat coaches, staff, volunteers, and fellow participants with respect; wear appropriate attire and use equipment safely; refrain from bullying, discrimination, or unsafe behavior; and follow all site-specific park(s) rules at Kelly Park, Leuders Park, and Tucker Park. Participants who do not follow these guidelines may be asked to sit out or, in serious cases, may be removed from the program at SCJCA's discretion.

  • Code of Conduct

    SCJCA expects all participants, parents, and guardians to conduct themselves with honesty, sportsmanship, and respect toward others at all times, both on and off the field. This includes respecting decisions made by coaches and officials, supporting a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all youth participants, and refraining from any form of harassment, discrimination, or aggressive behavior toward staff, volunteers, or other families. SCJCA reserves the right to address violations of this Code of Conduct through corrective conversations, temporary suspension, or removal from the program to protect the wellbeing of all participants.
