48HR FILM COMPETITION

PRESENTED BY NEAR NORTH MOBILE MEDIA LAB AND NORTH BAY FILM FESTIVAL
This adrenaline-packed event challenges teams of aspiring and seasoned filmmakers to write, shoot, edit, and produce a short film using the theme of “___” in just 48 hours, pushing their creative boundaries to the limit.

From October 23 to 25, 2026, participants will embark on an intense and exhilarating journey as they race against the clock to bring their vision to life.

The films will be juried by a guest panel. The top 3 films will be featured on our website, and the first-place film will be screened during the 11th annual North Bay Film Festival.

Registration is only $25 per team, so register today and join us in celebrating 11 years of North Bay Film Festival.

Prizes include cash awards, equipment rental credits, North Bay Film Festival passes, and free access to the Near North Makerspace.
