Leadership Iowa Community Host Nomination
Each year, Leadership Iowa selects six Iowa communities to host two-day sessions, in addition to recurring sessions in Des Moines and at the ABI Annual Conference. Host communities are selected to ensure geographic representation across the state and must demonstrate strong local support and the ability to provide a meaningful experience for Leadership Iowa participants. Hosting a Leadership Iowa session is an opportunity to showcase your community to 40 leaders from across Iowa. Sessions introduce participants to local businesses, organizations and leaders; highlight community successes, innovations and challenges; and support local vendors and venues. For many participants, the experience provides an opportunity to discover a part of Iowa they may not otherwise have visited. If you live in or know of a community that would make an excellent Leadership Iowa host, we want to hear from you. Communities are welcome to be nominated even if Leadership Iowa has visited in the past. We are always interested in seeing what is new and noteworthy across Iowa. Please complete the information below to nominate a future host community. Nominations are accepted year-round and considered annually. Communities not selected for the upcoming Leadership Iowa year will remain eligible for consideration in future years. Questions? Contact Anne Lowder at alowder@iowaabi.org or Sydney Strunk at sstrunk@iowaabi.org.
