The market is held rain or shine. NRCM may cancel when weather conditions are severe, unsafe or otherwise unsuitable for the market.

Applying does not guarantee acceptance or reserve a booth. Applicants will typically be notified of their acceptance, decline or waitlist status within five business days.

If space is not currently available, qualified applicants may be placed on a waitlist. Waitlisted vendors may be contacted if an appropriate space becomes available for a requested market date or later in the season. Waitlist placement does not guarantee participation.

Approved vendors will receive a separate notice of approval by email from an @novangroup.com address. The notice will include a payment link and insurance instructions. NRCM will never request payment through social media or direct messages.

Payment and weather policy: Vendor fees are nonrefundable. If NRCM cancels before vendor setup begins, fees will be transferred to the next scheduled market—the makeup date, if scheduled, or the next regular market. Once vendor setup has begun, fees cannot be refunded or credited if the market is delayed, shortened or closed.

Booth preferences: Vendors may request their top three booth locations, but specific locations are not guaranteed. Food trucks and trailers should enter “Food Truck Area” as their first choice. Assignments are made after payment based on availability and market needs.

Generator use: Space for generators is extremely limited. Vendors outside the designated food truck area must receive advance approval before bringing a generator. A working fire extinguisher is required with any generator. If a generator is not necessary for your booth, we recommend not using one as this could affect being accepted into the market.

Vendor Terms

Payment and cancellations: Approval does not reserve a booth until payment and requirements are complete. Fees are nonrefundable. Vendor cancellations require at least 14 days’ notice. Late cancellations or no-shows may affect future participation.

Insurance: Vendors must provide proof of $1,000,000/$2,000,000 general liability insurance naming Novan Group Inc. and Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa as Additional Insured at least 14 days before their first market. Vendors cannot participate without approved insurance.

Hours: Setup begins at 7:30 a.m., booths must be ready by 9:45 a.m., and market hours are 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Booths must remain staffed, and breakdown may not begin before 2:00 p.m.

Products and setup: Vendors may offer only approved products and services. Later additions require advance approval. Vendors provide their own equipment; tents must be safely weighted, staking is prohibited, and everything must remain within the reserved space. Generators require advance approval and a working fire extinguisher.

Promotion and conduct: Vendors are required to promote each market they attend with two posts:

14–28 days before: One Facebook feed or Instagram grid post, kept visible through the market date.

Within seven days before: One additional feed post or Story.
Both posts must include the market date, hours and location, and tag NRCM as instructed. Graphics and suggested wording will be provided as needed.

Vendors may promote only their approved business within their booth. Promotion of other markets, unrelated organizations or political campaigns is not permitted. Vendors must operate safely, professionally and respectfully.

Liability and media: Vendors participate at their own risk and release and hold harmless Novan Group Inc., North River Community Market, Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa and their representatives from participation-related claims, injury, theft, loss or damage. Vendors permit Novan Group Inc. and the Marriott to use submitted or event photographs and videos of the vendor, representatives, booth and products for marketing without compensation.
