    Entry into this raffle is open only to students new to Words & Silence: Playwriting Workshop.  (You cannot have taken a Words & Silence class previously).  This raffle is entirely free to enter!  See below for details.

  • Class Description

    Words & Silence: Playwriting Workshop is a 7-week virtual playwriting workshop, designed to help writers develop fresh material, and/or workshop plays in progress. Each week writers have pages read and discussed in session by the cohort. Writing prompts/exercises are provided to help participants generate new material and spur creativity.  Playwrights are invited to do any combination of the following:

    • Bring in a play they’re currently writing, that they’d like to workshop/develop
    • Bring in a play they’ve already written, that they’d like to workshop/revise
    • Bring in the germ of a play, that they’d like to flesh out and develop (with writing exercises/prompts/etc), or develop a new play over the course of the class (using writing exercises/prompts/etc).

    Whether you want to develop a new play, workshop a piece in progress, or bring in a play for a tune-up, there are tools and exercises available to you.  See below for class details.
