  • FAPAC Board members serve two-year terms and provide leadership, governance, and strategic oversight to advance the organization’s mission, growth, and long-term success. Board members are expected to focus on governance rather than day-to-day operations; attend bi-monthly Board meetings in January, March, May, July, September, and November; serve actively on at least one committee; observe at least one family or youth program annually; attend and volunteer at one major event annually; and assist in recruiting new Board members.

    Board members also serve as ambassadors and fundraisers for FAPAC by promoting the organization’s mission and impact, expanding its network of supporters, and identifying prospective donors, partners, and funding opportunities.

    Each Board member is expected to give or raise at least $2,000 annually and actively support FAPAC’s three major annual events: the Foster Youth Summit (April), Gala for Foster Care (May), and Christmas for Kids in Foster Care (December) through outreach, fundraising, sponsorships, volunteer recruitment, and participation.
