Ken Shepard Memorial Scholarship
The Ken Shepard Memorial Scholarship is available for active undergraduate Delta Chi members. Kenneth L. Shepard, Long Beach ’77, served the Fraternity as a Field Secretary upon graduation in 1978. He volunteered in several capacities, serving as chair for the Fraternity’s housing committee, as an Alumni Board of Trustees President, as a member of the Board of Regents, and was inducted into the Order of the White Carnation at the 2006 Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Ken was a dedicated volunteer for Delta Chi for over 40 years and attended 17 International Conventions - several alongside his wife, Janie, of 42 years, who is a cherished and dear friend of the Fraternity.
ELIGIBILITY
Must be a member of a chapter in one of the following states: California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.
You must be an active undergraduate Delta Chi brother in good standing.
You must be a sophomore, junior or senior.
You must have a college grade point average of 2.5 or greater.
You must be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credit hours) and provide an unofficial transcript.
Must demonstrate financial need.
Must provide an explanation of why you are deserving of the scholarship.
Must provide an explanation of how you have impacted, or how you hope to impact, Delta Chi.
