Commercial real estate professionals regularly encounter insurance requirements and contractual language such as additional insureds, hold harmless agreements, and waivers of subrogation, but many of us don't fully understand what these clauses mean or the impact they can have when a claim occurs. Join Kim Watson as she breaks down some of the most common insurance and risk management concepts found in commercial real estate transactions and explains why they matter to brokers, landlords, tenants, property managers, and developers.
Drawing on real-world examples and claims experience, Kim will walk attendees through practical scenarios, common pitfalls, and the steps that follow when something goes wrong. You'll leave with a better understanding of how to identify potential risks, interpret key contract provisions, and confidently navigate conversations with clients, legal teams, and insurance advisors.
