Library Volunteer
Assists with reshelving library materials and conducting research using the VMM database and library catalogue. Focused project opportunity: TBD.

Archives Volunteer
Assists with research using the VMM database and library catalogue, and with digitization of archival materials including photographs and textual records. Focused project opportunity: Inventory of VMM Ship Files collection.

Collections Volunteer
Assists with day-to-day collections management, including handling and rehousing artefacts, condition reporting, provenance research, object photography, and data entry. Focused project opportunity: Collection Inventory and rehousing/organization of specific collections such as ship flags, navy uniforms, and shipwreck/archaeological materials.

Volunteers who are a good fit
Interested in Canadian maritime history and culture or eager to learn; looking to build skills and gain experience in the GLAM sector; able to understand and work with databases; able to complete repetitive but important tasks; comfortable with technology.

Requirements
Ability to carry heavy items; ability to climb ladders; ability to work independently.
