  • 1099 Independent Contractor Status & Taxes

    Contractor acknowledges they are an independent contractor under Texas law and not an employee of 4BC Traffic Safety LLC. Contractor is solely responsible for all federal self-employment, income, and local taxes. No taxes will be withheld.

  • Payment Schedule & Shift Submission Closeout Requirement

    Payment will be made electronically via direct deposit according to the published company payment schedule.

    Mandatory Shift Closeout: Contractor must upload and submit a completed, legible, and signed TxDOT Daily Report on Law Enforcement Force Account Work through the 4BC Traffic Safety portal within 24 hours of shift completion.

    Non-Payment Penalty: Failure to upload the required signed TxDOT force sheet or submit shift closeout within the mandatory reporting window will result in a non-paid shift, as 4BC Traffic Safety LLC cannot bill the contractor or TxDOT without this document.

  • No Insurance & No Workers' Compensation Disclaimer

    4BC Traffic Safety LLC does not provide, carry, or maintain Workers' Compensation insurance, disability insurance, personal injury protection, health insurance, or commercial vehicle insurance for independent contractors. Contractor is solely responsible for carrying and maintaining their own primary auto liability insurance, health insurance, and disability/occupational accident coverage.

  • Dangerous Work Environment & Assumption of Risk

    HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND TRAFFIC CONTROL IS AN INHERENTLY DANGEROUS ACTIVITY. Contractor explicitly acknowledges that working in active highway construction zones, moving traffic, lane closures, and nighttime operations carries severe risks of property damage, catastrophic personal injury, and death. 4BC Traffic Safety LLC makes NO GUARANTEE of officer safety. Contractor voluntarily accepts and assumes all risks associated with performing traffic safety details.

  • Indemnification & Hold Harmless

    Contractor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 4BC Traffic Safety LLC, its managing partners, members, clients, and contractors from any and all claims, liabilities, lawsuits, damages, or injuries arising out of or related to the contractor's operations, actions, omissions, or use of personal vehicles and equipment.

  • Secondary Employment Policy Compliance

    Contractor certifies that they are an active, licensed Texas peace officer in good standing with TCOLE and have obtained all necessary off-duty/secondary employment approvals from their primary law enforcement agency.
