Property Tax Control is on the Ballot
Property Tax pays for local decisions. Voters who elect Town Councilors, School Board Members and approve the school budget set the spending, which sets taxes. Making the state pay will only cost the people of Derry more by subsidizing less responsible cities and towns. The Legislature passed HB1300 to allow November voters to cap spending.
