Patrol Requirements

Upon completion of the course, holders of the SRC award are active members of our club, and are required to patrol the Point Lonsdale Back Beach as part of the patrol season. The patrol season runs from November - April and patrol times can vary from 3 to 8 hours. As an active member, you will be required to attend your SELECTED patrols at Point Lonsdale Back Beach (including patrols outside of peak season) and patrol (or otherwise volunteer) at the Rip View Swim Classic.

For all Active Members (patrolling members paying a reduced membership fee), including SRC Candidates, failure to meet the minimum patrol requirements (minimum 20 hours of selected patrols) will result in the member being charged the General Member fee.

Additionally, for JSRC Candidates, failure to meet the minimum patrol requirements will be considered alongside their application for the Junior Bronze Medallion course.
