    If you are 15 years old but have not yet turned 16 you are not allowed to complete this form by yourself. You need permission from a parent or legal guardian to complete your application and volunteer. In this case, please follow these steps in order to apply as volunteer:

    As part of this process, the parent or legal guardian must also provide any required medical and accessibility information and confirm their own contact details as the applicant’s primary emergency contact, regardless of the emergency contact information provided by the applicant in this form.

    The Parental/Legal Guardian Authorisation Form "16-17YO", completed and signed, must be sent to candidaturi.voluntari@eyofbrasov2027.ro within 15 days of submitting the application. If the required authorisation is not received within this period, the application will be closed and the personal data collected for the application will be deleted.

    Thank you for your interest in becoming a Guardian of the Carpathians! From 14 – 21 February 2027, Brașov, Romania will host the European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF)—the pinnacle youth sports festival on the continent. This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to step onto the international stage, experience the Olympic movement behind the scenes, and help bring Europe’s best young athletes together. Everyone Has a Place Here! We proudly welcome candidates from all backgrounds, cultures, and abilities. We are fully committed to diversity and inclusion. If you have mobility challenges and are a wheelchair user, please apply!     Before you begin your application, please review our Mandatory Requirements for Consideration. To be successfully recruited into our volunteer family, all candidates must meet and accept these core terms:

    • Speak the Language of the Games! English is the official language of the EYOF. Because you will be the face of the festival for athletes and guests from 50 different countries, you must be ready to chat, guide, and connect in English (or Romanian).
    • Full Festival Availability: Candidates must be completely available for the entire official festival window from February 14 to February 21, 2027, as well as the mandatory venue and opening ceremony training sessions held just before the festival. Additionally, they must complete the general mandatory training sessions, which will take place from October 2026 onwards.
    • Hybrid Preparation & Training Program: Initial preparation and training will be conducted mainly online until January 2027. Depending on your assigned volunteer functional area, you will undergo further localised, venue-based training right on the slopes or festival hubs.
    • Continuous Recruitment & Selection: Volunteer selection and recruitment are continuous processes running dynamically until February 2027. Applications are reviewed progressively.
    • Bring a Great Vibe & Unstoppable Energy! A fantastic, positive attitude is a mandatory requirement to join our team! We want energetic, friendly volunteers who are ready to smile, support others regardless of gender, nationality, age, and bring ultimate good vibes to the winter slopes and hubs.
    • Provisional Status Notification: Registration and training participation do not automatically guarantee final recruitment. Role allocations remain provisional and are pending successful background checks, document compliance, and operational festival needs.

     

    Visa and Entry Requirements Acknowledgement

     

    Applicants travelling from a country outside the European Union (EU) are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary visa to enter Romania. The EYOF Brașov 2027 Organising Committee does not issue invitation letters or provide visa support of any kind.
