Mentoring is an important part of the Fellowship.
Each fellow will be supported by a Mentor, a seasoned agricultural research expert who must NOT be the applicant’s current direct line supervisor or spouse, or any other family member.
Mentors can be either female or male, and they will be a role model/source of inspiration to you, provide professional and technical advice, constructive feedback, and suggestions for improvement throughout the Fellowship. Please nominate up to three (3) senior agricultural research experts you have interacted intensively with and who could potentially serve as your Mentor in the Fellowship.
To strengthen institutional alignment and sustainability of impact, applicants are strongly encouraged to nominate at least one (1) Mentor from their current institution or organisation, where feasible.
Mentors should:
- Have substantial professional experience in agriculture, agrifood systems, climate, gender, or related policy fields;
- Be willing and available to provide structured support throughout the Fellowship.
