• AFEM x AVA: Meet The Experts

    AFEM ‘Meet the Experts’ sessions will offer AVA Delegates the opportunity to schedule meetings with experienced professionals in the electronic music industry to help elevate their business and get valuable one to one business advice with industry experts. Experts will be available from different fields within the electronic music sector.
  • Friday September 25th - 2.00pm - 3.00pm @ Dickens Room

    Each expert will have 4 x 15 mins slots each. To book a session please use the form below and select which expert you'd like a slot with. Please select only an expert if they have a direct relationship and benefit to your business and ideally only one slot to allow as many people as possible to meet the experts.   • Steven Braines - He.She.They. - Award winning freelance consultant, senior music executive, curator/talent buyer, cultural strategist, and LGBTQIA+ advocate with over twenty five years' experience across international event delivery, artist management, A&R, and record label operations.
  • Vicky Taylor (aka Vicky Devine) - Head of Creative & Licensing, Truelove Music | Electronic Music Rights & Sync Specialist, DJ & Producer - Working across publishing, sync, licensing and artist management/development within electronic music, with over 25 years’ experience spanning DJing, production, label management, Ibiza residencies and senior roles within the international live events sector.
  • Ashley Howard - Relationship Manager, PRS for Music - A world-leading rights management organisation that ensures music creators are paid whenever their music is streamed online, played in nightclubs, broadcast on the radio, and beyond. Ashley supports dance music creators and their representatives by serving as a link between the electronic music community and the rights and royalties that underpin it.
  • Remco Schuurbiers is the co-artistic director and founder of Berlin’s CTM festival & DISK-Agency and program director of former TodaysArt Festival in The Hague, currently also active as Creative Producer mostly Multidisciplinary Performances with Chris Salter.
  • Sabine Jacques - University of Liverpool - Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Liverpool’s School of Law and Social Justice, where I explore the intersection of copyright, freedom of expression, cultural diversity, and artificial intelligence. My research and teaching are driven by a passion for understanding how intellectual property law shapes creative industries, technology, and society.
