VAHI — Inspection Business Survey — 2026

This survey is for a business with more than one inspector. It should be completed once by an owner, director or authorised manager using whole-of-business figures. The survey should take approximately 6-8 minutes if business and insurance records are available. The Victorian Government is considering a mandatory pre-purchase building and pest inspection scheme. Under the proposal, the vendor would commission the inspection report and provide it to prospective buyers. VAHI is collecting this information to build a clearer picture of the Australian inspection industry and respond to an information request from the Victorian Department of Government Services. Results will be reported in aggregate. Business and respondent details will not be included in published reporting.
