BOOKING & PAYMENT

• Studio hire is subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
• A booking is only confirmed once the studio booking payment has been received and the signed Studio Hire Terms have been completed.
• The current studio hire rate is R200 for the first hour and R100 for each additional hour.
• Full payment for the studio booking must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled booking. Cash payments must be paid upon arrival in order to proceed with your booking.
• A refundable security deposit of R300 is required for each booking and must be paid in cash on arrival.
• The security deposit will be returned in cash after the booking, provided there is no damage or loss.
• Payments can be made with using the Zapper qr code above, with cash or via EFT to:

YOUR BOOKING

• The studio may only be used for the date and times agreed at the time of booking.
• The person making the booking is responsible for the booking and for all members of their group.
• Please arrive on time and leave the studio at the agreed end time so that the space is ready for the next booking.
• Additional time may only be used if agreed in advance and is subject to availability and the applicable hourly rate.

LOOKING AFTER THE STUDIO

• Please treat the studio, furniture and equipment with care.
• Equipment may only be used for its intended purpose and as instructed.
• Please do not move, disconnect or adjust equipment unnecessarily.
• Any equipment or property belonging to Mellow Music Studios must remain on the premises unless permission has been given otherwise.
• The studio must be left in exactly the same clean and tidy condition in which it was found.
• Food and drinks are not permitted inside the studio. You are welcome to use our verandah to sit, eat and drink during your booking.
• Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the Mellow Music Studios property.

DAMAGE, LOSS & SECURITY DEPOSIT

• The person making the booking accepts responsibility for any damage or loss caused during their booking by themselves or any member of their group.
• Normal wear and reasonable use of the studio and equipment will not be considered damage.
• Where damage or loss occurs as a result of misuse, negligence or failure to follow studio instructions, the reasonable cost of repair or replacement may be deducted from the security deposit.
• If the cost of the damage or loss exceeds the security deposit, the person responsible for the booking remains liable for the outstanding amount.
• Any remaining balance of the security deposit will be returned once the studio and equipment have been checked.

CANCELLATIONS

• Cancellations made 48 hours or more before the booking will receive a full refund, including the security deposit.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the booking are non-refundable. The security deposit will be returned provided there is no damage or loss.
• No-shows are non-refundable, including the security deposit.
• If a cancelled booking can be filled by another customer, Mellow Music Studios may, at its discretion, refund some or all of the original booking fee.

CONDUCT & SAFETY

• Everyone using the studio is expected to behave responsibly and respectfully.
• No illegal activity, dangerous behaviour or deliberate damage to property will be permitted.
• Mellow Music Studios reserves the right to end a booking immediately if behaviour poses a risk to people, property or equipment.
• No additional guests may use the studio without the knowledge and agreement of Mellow Music Studios.

LIABILITY & INDEMNITY

• The person making the booking accepts responsibility for themselves and all members of their group while using the studio.
• Mellow Music Studios will take reasonable care to provide a safe and suitable rehearsal environment. Customers are responsible for using the studio, equipment and facilities safely and appropriately.
• To the extent permitted by law, the person making the booking agrees to indemnify Mellow Music Studios, its owners and representatives against claims, losses, costs or damage arising from the actions, negligence or misuse of the studio or equipment by themselves or any member of their group.
• Mellow Music Studios will not be responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought onto the premises.
• Customers are responsible for their own instruments, equipment and personal belongings while on the premises. Mellow Music Studios accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to personal property.
• Any accidents, injuries, damage or other incidents occurring during the booking must be reported to Mellow Music Studios as soon as possible.

PHOTO & VIDEO CONSENT

We love capturing the music and atmosphere at Mellow Music Studios and may occasionally take photographs or short video clips during rehearsals for use on our social media and other promotional platforms.

Photos and videos will be used only for promotional purposes by Mellow Music Studios. This consent does not give Mellow Music Studios any ownership or rights over any original music, compositions, recordings or other creative work.

If you are booking on behalf of a group, please ensure that all members of your group are aware that photographs and/or videos may be taken during the booking. Each individual will have the opportunity to indicate their own consent.
