Trunk-or-Treat Participant Application & Information
Welcome to the SoCal's Sunset Trick or Trot 5K/10K! Thank you for joining us to make this event fun, festive, and memorable for all participants. Please review the details, perks, and official rules below before submitting your registration.
Participant Perks
Complimentary Race Entries: Each decorated trunk registration receives two (2) complimentary race entries, valid for either this event or a future Caren Ware Events.
Rules of the Road & Event Guidelines
Setup & Timing
Date: October 24th, 2026
Arrival & Setup Window: 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM. Arrivals after 3:00 PM will be denied setup entry.
Ready Time: All vehicles must be fully decorated and ready to greet participants by 3:00 PM sharp.
Display Closure: Displays may wrap up at 5:00 PM.
Placement: Vehicle locations will be assigned at the sole discretion of Caren Ware Events staff upon arrival on event day.
Parking & Vehicles
Vehicle Limit: Exactly one (1) vehicle is permitted per registration.
Parking Fee: Each vehicle is responsible for paying the $15 State Beach parking fee upon arrival.
Electricity & Safety: No electrical support will be provided on-site. Please plan accordingly. Any extension cords or cables used must be safely covered to prevent tripping hazards.
Candy, Giveaways & Games
Minimum Supply: You must supply at least 350 pieces of store-bought candy, 350 giveaway items, or host an interactive activity/game.
Distribution Limits: To ensure enough supplies for all participants, distribute no more than 1–2 pieces of candy per guest.
Food Safety Requirements: All treats must be store-bought and individually prepackaged.
No homemade treats are permitted.
Snack-sized candy is strongly recommended over full-sized bars.
Interactive Options: Trunks are highly encouraged to operate a family-friendly game or activity!
Promotions, Advertising & Sales
No Sales Permitted: Selling products, services, or concessions of any kind is strictly prohibited. (To inquire about becoming an official vendor, please email info@kourseevents.com).
Promotions & Flyers:You may hand out novelty promo items (e.g., keychains featuring your business/organization info) as a fun advertising alternative.
Half-sheet flyers are allowed, but must be pre-approved by event staff prior to distribution.
Decor & Event Standards
Decorations Required: All participating vehicles must be decorated.
Family-Friendly Theme: Please use discretion—decorations should not be overly frightening to young children. Caren Ware Events reserves the right to deny entry to any groups or displays inconsistent with a family-oriented atmosphere.
Commitment: Once your application is confirmed, your participation is expected.
