Cost to Join

$20 per 20-foot space.

Each space fits up to two 10×10 tents and one standard-sized vehicle. All fees are non-refundable — including for weather cancellations, early departure, or any other reason.

This event is for locally owned small businesses — businesses that make their own decisions about what they sell and how they sell it.

Eligible business types:

•    Makers and producers (you grow, bake, or make what you sell)

•    Shop owners (you select and sell products you choose)

•    Service businesses (for example: hair, nails, photography, tutoring)

Not eligible:

•    Independent representatives, consultants, or distributors for another company (MLM or direct sales)

 
Other Eligibility Requirements
Business size:

•    Preferred: fewer than 5 employees

•    Up to 50 employees may be approved case-by-case

Business Location:

•    Your business must be within 100 miles of Stafford, VA

•    Businesses within 35 miles of Stafford receive priority placement

Event Day Basics
Date: Saturday, November 28, 2026

Where: 610 Slug Lot, Staffordboro Blvd, Stafford, VA

Hours: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Event Day Rules:

•    Arrive between 08:30 and 09:45. Large vehicles or trailers: arrive at least 30 minutes early.

•    Have your booth fully set up before opening.

•    Stay for the entire event — early departure may result in removal without refund.

•    Tents must be weighted with at least 25 lbs. per leg for safety.

•    Provide your own trash receptacle and remove all trash at the end of the day.

•    Stay within your assigned space. Be professional and courteous to customers, staff, and other businesses.

•    Amplified sound is not allowed unless pre-approved.

Weather
We monitor weather conditions closely. If lightning is detected near the site, or there is a high chance of storms, we may delay, pause, or cancel the event for safety. Rain alone will not cancel the event — only genuine safety risks, such as lightning or ice. Weather updates will be shared by email and on our social media pages. Please check these before and during the event.

Risks You Are Accepting
Outdoor events carry inherent risks, including:

•    Weather (heat, cold, wind, rain)

•    Crowds and foot traffic

•    Uneven ground or trip hazards

•    Food handling and allergen exposure

•    Actions of customers or other businesses

By participating, you agree that Long & Long LLC, Long Family Markets, LFM Foundation Inc. our staff, and the property owner are not liable for injuries or losses from these ordinary risks. This release does not apply to gross negligence or intentional misconduct on our part. You agree to cover the cost of any claim, injury, or damage caused by your products, equipment, or employees.

We are not responsible for lost sales, weather conditions, low turnout, or damage to your own equipment or products.

Compliance
We want all participants to follow the rules, so the event stays safe and fair. For minor issues, we typically will:

•    Discuss the issue with you directly

•    Assess a fee or request corrective action if the issue continues

•    Ask you to leave only if the issue is serious or continues

For serious issues — such as a genuine safety risk, aggressive behavior, or violating the distributor/MLM rule — we may ask you to leave immediately, without refund. Long & Long LLC makes the final decision on all rule interpretations.

Legal Basics
This agreement is governed by Virginia law. In the event of a disagreement, both parties agree to attempt informal resolution for 30 days, followed by mediation if needed, before pursuing legal action.

If any part of this agreement is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

Permits, Licenses & Insurance
You are responsible for obtaining any permits or licenses your business needs — this may include food permits, fire permits for propane or cooking equipment, and tax registrations. We do not provide these and are not responsible for missing permits.

If you sell food, drinks, skincare, candles, jewelry or other consumable or topical products, you must carry liability insurance of at least $1,000,000, listing “Long & Long LLC dba Long Family Markets” as an additional insured, with proof provided before the event.
