Step 2: Top Measurements
Length of Top
*
Start at the top shoulder point near the neck. Measure vertically over the fullest part of the bust to where you want the top to end.
Upper Bust
*
Wrap the tape around the upper chest, above the fullest part of the bust and under the arms. Keep the tape level.
Bust
*
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the bust. Keep it level across the back and comfortably snug, not tight.
Under Bust
*
Measure directly underneath the bust around the ribcage. Keep the tape level.
Dart Point
*
Measure from the top shoulder point near the neck down to the fullest point of the bust.
Shoulder
*
Measure across the back from the edge of one shoulder to the edge of the other, following the natural shoulder line.
Armhole
*
Wrap the tape around the shoulder and under the armpit where the armhole seam would sit. Keep your arm relaxed.
Sleeve Length
*
Measure from the outer shoulder point down the arm to where you want the sleeve to end. Keep the arm slightly bent.
Upper Arm
*
Sleeve Hem
*
Measure around the arm or wrist at the exact point where the sleeve will end.
Waist
*
Measure around your natural waist, usually the narrowest part of the torso. Do not pull the tape tight.
Front Neck Depth
*
From the shoulder/neck point, measure diagonally to the lowest point you want the front neckline to reach.
Back Neck Depth
*
From the centre back base of the neck, measure straight down to the lowest point you want the back neckline to reach.
Step 3: Men’s Measurements
Length of Kurta
*
Measure from the high shoulder point to the desired kurta hem.
Length of Vest
*
Measure from the high shoulder point to the desired vest hem.
Chest
*
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level.
Stomach / Belly
*
Measure around the fullest part of the stomach or belly.
Collar
*
Measure around the base of the neck where the collar sits.
Shoulder
*
Measure across the back from one shoulder edge to the other.
Armhole / Armpit
*
Measure around the armhole where the sleeve will sit.
Bicep
*
Measure around the fullest part of the upper arm.
Sleeve Length
*
Measure from the shoulder point to the desired sleeve hem.
Sleeve Hem

Measure around the wrist or sleeve opening.
Length of Pants / Outseam
*
Measure from the waistband position to the desired finished hem.
Waist

Measure around your natural waist, keeping the tape level.

*
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat.
Inseam of Pants

Measure from the crotch to the desired pant hem.
Crotch Length

Measure from the front waist, through the crotch, to the back waist.

Measure around the fullest part of the calf.

*

US Dress Shirt Size

Enter your usual US dress shirt size.

Notes
For best results, have another person take your measurements while you stand naturally in fitted clothing or undergarments. Measure twice before entering each number.
Skirt waist
*
Measure around the exact point where you want the skirt or lehenga waistband to sit.
Skirt hips
*
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.
Skirt length
*
Measure vertically from the waistband position to the desired finished hem. Wear the heel height you plan to wear with the outfit.
Trouser waist
Lower waist
*
Measure around the lower waist where low- or mid-rise trousers would normally sit.
Trouser hips
*
Measure around the fullest part of the hips and seat, keeping the tape level.
Trouser length
*
Measure from the waistband position down to the desired finished hem. Consider the shoes you plan to wear.
Thigh round
*
Measure around the fullest part of the upper thigh with the tape comfortably snug.
Knee round
*
Measure around the knee at the kneecap with the leg relaxed.
Calf round
*
Measure around the fullest part of the calf.
