Magic Moments Stable Lesson Cancellation / Weather Policy
1. Lessons are to be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance. If they are cancelled THE DAY OF THE LESSON you forfeit the lesson from your lesson package. If you pay each lesson, you will be required to pay for the missed lesson before you can take your next lesson.
2. If you cancel excessively even with the 24 hour notice, you will be giving up the privilege of the time slot that you have booked on a standing basis. You will have to call the day before you want a lesson to see if a time slot is available.
3. If you miss 3 lessons in a row you will give up your time slot if somebody would like that time slot. We will try our best to keep it for you but Magic Moments operates on a first come, first serve basis.
4. Remember clients who would like to take 2 lessons a week get time priority over clients who take lessons 1 time a week, and clients who take 1 lesson a week get time priority over clients who take lessons twice a month or every other week.
5. We do not cancel lessons due to weather. We have a curriculum of horsemanship skills that need to be worked on by all students that are on the ground or related to the equipment that are taught when it is not suitable to ride.
6. Some Lessons are not taught on the horses back. All horsemanship skills will be taught and will be intermingled at the instructor's discretion. A lesson does not guarantee your student will ride a horse every time scheduled.
7. Your student may not always have the same instructor. MMS reserves the right to substitute an appropriate alternate in the event that your normal instructor is not available. Sometimes it is good to see what improvements could be made from another instructor's view. Someone will contact you in case of emergency cancellation.
8. Attire should be riding pants; however, jeans are acceptable. No jeans with embellishments as they scratch the saddles. Riding boots with a low heal are required and half chaps and gloves are suggested. Helmets must be worn at all times while mounted.
Some of these are new, some are not. When you look at the price sheet you will see that the 24 hour cancellation policy is on it. We have been a little forgiving but since there are more and more clients wanting to take lessons, we must enforce this.
