Description
The Surf Life Saving Australia (SLS) Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) is an introductory award for members aged 13 and older that teaches basic rescue, resuscitation, and first aid skills for patrolling and water safety.
Combination of online eLearning with practical wet and dry sessions.
Prerequisites
- 13 years old.
- Must be a financial club member.
- Must complete an unaided 200-meter swim in 5 minutes or less before starting practical training.

Outcome
Graduates can act as cadet surf lifesavers on patrol and serve as water safety personnel for junior activities and club events. Renewal requires annual skills maintenance.
