Senior CIT Application 2027

Dear Applicant,

For 100 years, YMCA Camp Lincoln has developed campers into leaders in our community. The Senior Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is the culminating year in this 2-year program. Through training, experience, mentorship, and self-reflection, this program produces leaders not only here at YMCA Camp Lincoln but in our community as a whole.

This intentional and unique program sets YMCA Camp Lincoln apart in the field of youth development. Participation in this program requires an 8-week volunteer commitment. This shared commitment is essential to your personal success in the program. Senior CIT classes form strong bonds and friendships that last decades while gaining individual skills that provide a step ahead personally and professionally.

Applicants must be 15-years old. It is not a requirement to have participated in the Junior CIT program to become a Senior CIT. Our campers and community are diverse. We aim for our CIT programs and staff to reflect that. We encourage all who are interested to apply.

The process is detailed below. It is YMCA Camp Lincoln's expectation that the applicant completes this process independently. Applications will not be accepted if they are not completed and submitted by the applicant themselves. A complete application includes an application form and 2 references forms. Only complete applications will be accepted. Incomplete applications will be returned to applicants for re-submission. References must be teachers, coaches, mentors, etc. Family members may not serve as references. Applications must be submitted online. Applications will not be accepted by e-mail. The Camp team will reach out to schedule an interview once an application is submitted.

The deadline for applications is October 15^th.
Application Process & Timeline

A Complete Application Includes:
- This Application Form Submitted
- 2 Reference Forms Submitted from non-family references

Applications are submitted to Camp Lincoln	September 15th – October 15th
Applications are reviewed and interviews are conducted with candidates	September 15th – October 30th
Decision letters are sent to applicants	November 16th
